Titanic Analysis

Exploratory analysis of historical passenger records to examine how demographic and structural factors influenced survival outcomes.

Context

The goal was to understand which passenger attributes were most associated with survival, and how outcomes differed across groups such as class and gender.

Approach

Data was reviewed for missing values and inconsistencies, then summarized across key dimensions (class, gender, and embarkation context). Results were presented as grouped distributions and comparative charts.

Outcome

The analysis makes survival differences by class and gender easy to compare at a glance, demonstrating how segmentation and consistent definitions change how outcomes are interpreted.

Datasets

Source files used in this analysis: Titanic Dataset and Titanic Locations.

Titanic Locations is a small supplemental file that can be added to enrich passenger class and port-of-embarkation context, but it is not required to explore the core dataset.
